A new website for the Observatory

seobservatory.org has a new website. It replaces the old WordPress installation and is built so that a small team can keep it current and secure.
What changed
- Built as a static site. Every page is generated in advance as plain HTML. There is no database and no plugin to patch.
- Light and dark themes, with a switch in the header, and a layout that works on phones.
- The archive carried over. The 31 news posts from 2018 to 2021 and the Observatory’s documents (the statute, the Annual Report 2022, the citizens’ perception study, the 2020 surveys, papers and a doctoral thesis) are all on the new site. The gap from 2021 to 2026 is filled with news on what happened in those years.
- Old addresses still work. Links to the old site redirect to the matching new page.
- Programmes and events. The Monitor, Clinic, Laboratory and Academy each have their own page, and the events page gathers the Observatory’s conferences, webinars and recordings.
- No cookies, no tracking. The site sets no cookies and has no analytics, and fonts are served from the site itself.
Suggestions and corrections are welcome at info@seobservatory.org.
