The conference series that started with SECon 2022 returns, organised by SENIC and the DIESIS Network.
Indicative themes: sustainable business models, innovation for impact, green and circular economy, regional ecosystems and policy, financing the transition, partnerships that scale, and investment readiness and proof of impact. The call for speakers is announced on the conference site.
North Macedonia
The Observatory took part as an invited participant in a roundtable hosted by the National Youth Council of Macedonia (NYCM), the umbrella organisation of youth organisations in the country, held under an EU-funded youth project.
Brussels, Résidence Palace
The European Commission’s launch of the co-created transition pathway for the proximity and social economy ecosystem, one of the plans that follow the EU industrial strategy. The Observatory attended and published its notes on funding, skills, measurement, public procurement and the Council Recommendation then in preparation.

Theme: the challenges of developing a social entrepreneurship ecosystem. Organised by the Observatory with HASTE (Tirana) and supported by the Swedish Institute; SE Talks and CHIP were partners.
More than 70 participants and more than ten speakers. Sessions covered the ecosystems of North Macedonia, Albania, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo* and Bosnia and Herzegovina, practitioners’ stories, and group discussions on policies, challenges and needs.

A webinar series run with Young Ambassadors (Niš): six episodes, from “Why social entrepreneurship?” to innovation in social entrepreneurship, with more than 20 speakers from seven countries. 197 people took part on Zoom and 2,296 followed on Facebook and YouTube.
The closing event, “Let’s Talk Social Entrepreneurship”, included addresses from the Embassies of Sweden in Serbia and North Macedonia and from Lund University Commissioned Education and the Swedish Institute.
