On 19 November 2020, as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week North Macedonia, the Social Entrepreneurship Observatory held ‘The Rise of Social Entrepreneurship in North Macedonia’, an online discussion on Zoom.
The programme looked at social entrepreneurship from three sides: the entrepreneurial side, the social side, and the ecosystem and national strategy that frame both. The speakers were:
- Dejan Stojanovikj, Executive Director, Association for Social and Economic Development IN VIVO, Skopje
- Sashko Jovanov, Executive Director, Association Humanost
- Aleksandra Iloska, Researcher, Association for Research, Communications and Development Public
- Stefan Chichevaliev, Executive Director, Social Entrepreneurship Observatory
The Observatory also presented its work on measuring the development of the field through the Social Entrepreneurship Index. A discussion on improving the ecosystem and questions from participants closed the event. Global Entrepreneurship Week North Macedonia was coordinated by Startup Macedonia.
