Social entrepreneurship has gradually gained special attention in recent years as it offers innovative and transformative solutions to address particular cases of existing social and/or environmental issues. Social enterprises contribute to development by providing direct benefits to society alongside generating economic value through job creation. Knowledge of social entrepreneurship is an important tool to enhance societal engagement of youth since it creates a space for reflection on the pressing issues in their community. This knowledge is also the key to triggering new innovative solutions and participation in social enterprises.
