The Minister of Labor and Social Policy Mila Carovska informed that in the framework of the project “Encouraging social entrepreneurship” co-financed by the EU, a draft text of the Law on Social Entrepreneurship is being prepared, after which a public debate will be held with the aim of extensive consultation for including the notes and the suggestions of the non-governmental sector, as well as the experiences and demands of the social enterprises working in the country.

“As a minister, I inherited several levels of drafted law with various forms of proposals. Now I am considering and think that if we have been thinking about social enterprises as an opportunity to open new jobs for people at social risk, I think that we should extend the level of this law and expand it, if possible, to establish plural social system protection. The Law on Social Protection provides this, but with social enterprises, we will be given the opportunity for the very socially vulnerable groups to be trained to offer certain services to support other groups of citizens in Macedonia, “said Carovska.

She pointed out that a large number of organizations showed success in the development of social enterprises, whereby the example of the Citizenship Protection “Pokrov”, which made a special commune in Strumica for the rehabilitation of drug, alcohol and cube addicts, was answered. the demands of social enterprises seeking relief. They currently operate under the standard laws that apply to enterprises. But that’s not enough, “said Minister of Labor and Social Policy Mila Carovska.
